Day 0: Preparing for Fernando de Noronha
After completing our mainland tour, we will prepare for the final leg of our journey and board a flight to the Fernando de Noronha archipelago. Depending on our arrival time in Sao Paulo, we may be able to take the connecting flight to Fernando de Noronha the same day, or alternatively, we may fly the following day.
Day 1: Fernando de Noronha
We will take a morning flight to the Fernando de Noronha Islands in the tropical Atlantic Ocean. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel. During the afternoon, we can begin looking for the island’s endemic species or, alternatively, take some time to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Overnight in Fernando de Noronha.
Day 2: Fernando de Noronha
We will spend the entire day birding and searching for the island’s endemic and special birds, including Noronha Elaenia (e), Noronha Vireo (e), Eared Dove (subspecies noronha), and White Tern.
We will also have opportunities to observe several remarkable seabirds around the offshore islets, including Masked Booby, Red-footed Booby, Brown Booby, Red-billed Tropicbird, White-tailed Tropicbird, Magnificent Frigatebird, and Sooty Tern.
Overnight in Fernando de Noronha.
Day 3: Fernando de Noronha to Sao Paulo
During the morning, we will make a final birding outing to look for and review some of the species we have encountered on the island. We will then head to the Fernando de Noronha airport for our flight back to Sao Paulo, where we will connect with our international flight home.
